At Robson Laidler Accountants our purpose is to ‘Make a Positive Difference to People’s Lives’ which is why we have set up our own Community Foundation to ensure a sustainable way of continual giving whilst ensuring our money goes to the places it can do the most good.

As a firm that is more than 100 years old, our fund is an evolution of our long tradition of giving to charity - we would always nominate a Charity of the Year for example. When it was our 100th anniversary we celebrated by supporting 100 good causes in 100 different ways and we succeeded by raising over £170,000 through the amazing efforts of our staff and clients.

Giving back is an intrinsic part of everything we do here at Robson Laidler. We are proud to be an accredited B Corp, which means we aim to make our business a force for community good. The five pillars of B Corp are showing excellence and value in terms of company governance, looking after staff, looking after customers, looking after the environment, and supporting the community. The Robson Laidler Community Fund ensures we’re looking after those community commitments long-term.

We also give our staff paid time off to volunteer in the local community or for causes that are close to them, and we are excited to visit the community projects our new fund will support.

The foundation gives charities, social enterprises and individuals the opportunity to apply for funds that we have raised. In line with our company values, we want to support causes that alleviate poverty, develop skills and tackle unemployment to raise aspirations in our local area.

Do you want to make a positive impact?

We hope that with the support of our staff, clients and community we can continue to transform more lives.
